Service Description
Puppies are ready (and encouraged) to have their first introduction to a grooming salon as soon as they have had their second puppy vaccinations. Getting acclimatised and desensitised to the environment, tools and handling will help them to enjoy appointments for the rest of their lives, instead of feeling fearful or anxious. During Puppy Pampers, your puppy gets to meet me and take a personalised tour of the salon, allowing them the opportunity to sniff and safely explore the equipment, tools and environment. I will shower them with affection and positivity, introduce some gentle table etiquette (the handling and holding which is typical during grooming) and give them their first Natural Nail Trim! I will also give them a gentle bubble bath in natural, puppy-friendly shampoo, a blow-dry and brush-out (on a low power setting) and as they get older and fluffier, I will trim away hair from in front of their eyes, around their sanitary areas and their feet. My services focus on building confidence in the salon environment, teaching table etiquette, providing baths and tiny trims, and showering them with positivity. Please note, Puppy Pampers do not include a full body haircut. I will advise when I believe your puppy's coat and confidence is building up to their first Holistic Haircut! This is usually when they are around nine months of age, but it might be sooner. I recommend that they have at least 2 - 4 Puppy Pampers, 3 - 6 weeks apart, before their first Holistic Haircut - but this varies from pup to pup.
Cancellation Policy
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled grooming appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule, so that I can offer the appointment to other clients with reasonable time to do so. In the case of rescheduling, any deposit paid will be transferred to the new appointment. If cancelling, the deposit will be refunded in full. This can only be honoured with 48 hours' of notice. If a request is made less than 48 hours before the appointment, or if the appointment is not attended, the deposit will be kept to cover overheads and what otherwise amounts to an irreplaceable loss of earnings.
